As a college student on a college budget, it can be hard to eat healthy sometimes. Now, I know what you're thinking - that's always the excuse, and maybe you're right, but that doesn't make it any easier, because most often, junk food is cheap, quick, and convenient. When I'm on the go and have fifteen minutes to eat, it's just so easy to put something in the microwave; it takes much more time to cut up fruits and vegetables or cook a well-balanced meal. So, every time I make a pact to eat healthier, I wind up consuming these foods instead.
1. Pizza
2. Mac & Cheese
3. Chicken Fingers
4. French Fries
5. Donuts
6. Mozzarella Sticks
7. Cheeseburgers
8. Cookies
9. Ice Cream
10. Chips
11. Chocolate
12. Candy
13. Frozen Dinners
The list goes on and on. It's a bad habit (probably a bad habit of many college students), but this semester, I'm really going to try to take the time to make healthier food choices. After all, it's my body, and it's up to me to decide how to treat it.
