11 Thoughts When They Cancel Your Favorite Show

We have all had it happen to us. We fall in love with everything about a show. We fall in love with the story, the characters, and even the setting. But, then it happens. They cancel your beloved show. Here is what it feels like when that happens to you.

1. When you first hear the news and think it is a joke.

Why would they cancel it? It was such a great show! It was realistic and we loved it!

2. When the reality finally settles in that it is over.

We will never know what happens! We will never see these characters again!

3. When you try to find something new to fill the void.

So now we have a huge whole in our tv line up. What are we supposed to watch between our 8pm show and our 10pm show? Are we supposed to sleep?

4. When you find a website claiming it will be renewed.

Oh my goodness! It has to be true! They would not get our hopes up like this! I cannot wait!

5. When you find out that it was just a rumor and they lied to you about it being renewed.

So apparently they like to crush our dreams. They like seeing us getting excited and then crashing. Ugh!

6. When you want to go find the producer like this.

We get mad! And can you blame us? We have religiously watched this show and followed along. We deserve to have answers to our questions! We at least deserve a finale!

7. When you realize how irrational that would be.

Okay so maybe we cannot go right up to the producer and demand answers. But, we sure wish we could.

8. When you just want to know what would have happened.

We still would like our answers. Especially when they end it with someone dying! Do they die? Do they live? It is like “how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?” The world may never know!

9. When they say it ended because the ratings were down and no one cared.

We cared! We cared a whole lot! We loved this show, we loved these characters, we all cared!

10. When you have to pull it together.

You have to think rationally, you cannot mourn the death of this show forever. We just have to pull ourselves together and start to move on.

11. When you accept defeat but never really let it go.

Time goes by and you try to forget. But, then someone brings up your show and it all comes rushing back to you. You were given no closure and it still haunts you from time to time.

We all know what this feels like. We fall in love with a show, and the producers quickly rip it away from us. We are left with a void and a sad feeling we cannot escape. These shows will be forever in the back of our heads, as we ponder from time to time, what would have happened?

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
