Let's just be honest real quick--at times, the struggle is so real.
If you're anything like me (AKA a struggling college senior wanting to crawl in a hole during finals week), you'll understand what I'm saying.
Cause right now, the struggle is so real.'
You're a college senior and it's finals week and you only have 13 papers, 6 exams, and two jobs to work. That is when the struggle is so real.
You're a mom and your house is dirty, you haven't showered in three days, and your toddler who loves chicken nuggets has suddenly decided that chicken nuggets are evil and is throwing a tantrum because they want chicken strips instead. That is when the struggle is so real.
Your girlfriend is having a meltdown because she had to present a presentation during class and she skipped a slide. You listen to her cry on the phone instead of concentrating on the football game that is on TV. That is when the struggle is so real.
You're a struggling Christian, who doesn't understand why bad things happen to good people. Happy people surround you, yet you can't seem to find any happiness within yourself. That is when the struggle is so real.
The struggle is bound to find anyone and everyone. And yes, it sucks so much. However, we can either let the struggle harm us, or we can choose to rise above it and overcome it. We all struggle, no matter how well others may hide it, they struggle too. Don't be ashamed to tell someone your day is bad. Chances are, yesterday their day was bad too.
Sometimes are struggles seem to consume us. Don't let it. It will pass, and guess what? You only be stronger because of it.
The struggle makes you stronger, and if you're bound to face it, why not face it head on?
Although the struggle may want to make you hide under a blanket until the hard parts in life past, it will soon be gone. Keep your head up. Keep working hard. Keep being positive. Stay faithful. Although that struggle feels so real, it is not as big as you think it is, I promise. The struggle can only last so long. So throw on that baggy hoodie, don't brush your hair, and just embrace the hard times with a smile on your face.
