'When The Bough Breaks' Review

Insane. That is the word that I would use to describe this movie. This movie made me questions aspects of my life that I am nowhere near ready to be thinking about. Ladies, would you tell your man to go be with another woman intimately in order to convince her to give you the baby that she promised you? I don’t know if I would feel comfortable telling my guy by any means necessary. The trailers for this movie did a great job preparing the viewers for what was to come. As soon as crazy Anna Walsh waltzed her way on screen the whole theater went up in sighs preparing themselves for the crazy that was about to go down. There were even times when screaming happened in the audience. This movie was a perfect mixture of suspense and drama. I am not into scary movies, but this movie had horror movies vibes every now and then. It was to the point where I felt accomplished when I walked out of the theater smiling from ear to ear because I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. No nightmares for me! There were times when I flinched and jumped, and wanted to scream at characters for doing stupid stuff, but this movie was so good (way better than the Perfect Man). My friend and I are convinced that Gabrielle Union will have a suspense movie coming out next. When you think about it, Sanaa Lathan, Taraji P. Henson and now Regina Hall has made one. They are all like best friends. Whoever is next will have tough shoes to follow because this one was the best one yet followed by Taraji (No Good Deed) and then Sanaa (The Perfect Man). Go see the movie guys. You will not be disappointed. My money was very well spent.
