Throughout the years, Darth Vader has creeped his way into many films in the star wars saga. These are some of the moments when filmmakers have completely misunderstood his character. A sheer evil presence, a conflicted former Jedi. Vader deserved so much more than he was given these last few Star Wars films.
1. Midi-what?In 'The Phantom Menace', Qui-Gon Jinn is takes a blood sample from young Anakin Skywalker and tests his Midi-chlorian counts, which tell how force-sensitive a person is. This completely retcons the idea that the Force is a spiritual presence that is followed in a religious sense.
2. NOOOOOOOO
The infamous scene from 'Revenge of the Sith' is Darth Vader's "first" canonical appearance in the saga. But something just doesn't fit. The suit doesn't hold true to the original 1977 design, and can we talk about how awkward that scream was?! Vader wouldn't scream "No!", he'd force-choke the emperor and set the damn place on fire.
3. .....was that a pun?Vader cameo, check. Force-choking, check. Joking? While the epic entrance for the dark lord in 'Rogue One' was a wonder to behold, hearing him make a pun about choking Orson Krennic to the ground just seems...uncharacteristic. Don't get me wrong though, that final scene was truly incredible.
