When Sisters Finally Get Along

Finally getting along with your sister is the best thing ever.

When Sisters Finally Get Along
Kathryn Zieno

Little me never got along with my sister. Ever. We just didn't get along. I remember going long periods of time without even talking to her, only fighting for the tv remote. We were only sisters. Not friends, sisters.

Everyone would always say, 'oh, just wait until you're older, you'll be friends eventually'.

Turns out, they were all right. I've never been happier to have a sister who is also one of my friends. It is actually pretty fun. I don't know why we didn't figure this out sooner, but that's ok. I'm glad we finally get along. I know that I've got her back and she's got mine, and now it's even better because it's not just sisters protecting each other, but also sisters who are friends. It's a two-for-one deal and it's great. Not to mention the whole swapping clothes thing without the fear of being murdered; the fear is still there, but at least it is more of an option now.

To all those sisters out there, support each other and tell each other what they need to hear, not necessarily what they want.. No matter how hard you try, you can't ignore your sister forever.

Love you Janna.

(P.S., Please don't hate me.)

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
