Is it too late? Is this the end for me? How am I going to live now? I’m a failure, can’t even choose my major right… Those are the thoughts you may have while you’re in college or university, studying something that you just realize is pointless, that it’s not the one. Well, what if you just accept the truth…

To begin this, I would like to say that we are human, not machines. We are not built for doing one purpose only. We are curious about the world, we like to mingle with things, to explore different areas and choosing your major in college is one of them. When it comes to choosing, there aren’t any good or bad choices, they are all neutral. It’s up to you wanting it to be bad or not, and the decision you make will be a big leap for you in life. In the scenario that you chose the one that doesn’t fit you, you have learned not to take that path again and choose a different one. If you think it suits you, then congrats, you have found the key to unlock your potential of being great. But let’s focus on the negativity first, when a college student chooses the wrong major, they thought that they have wasted their time and resources that don't help them at all, this is the end of the journey for them. What if I tell you that it’s not? What if this is the next step for your big thing?

When something is not going our way, we always think the worst scenario that could happen, making you feel sad. Choosing the wrong major is one of them, but why not see that as an opportunity? Like I said before, this “mistake” of yours could be the next big thing for you. You just need to look at it in a positive way. Here’s my way if I would have to deal with this problem:

  1. It’s an opportunity: When you choose this major wrong, think that you have made a mistake and you can learn from it, during that time, you did also take in as much knowledge as you can for that major and it may even boost your abilities to work better in your next major, or even your social life.
  2. Accept the truth: Some of you would avoid the fact that you chose wrong and just stay quiet instead of coming out clean that you have made the wrong decision. Perceiving the truth will help you figure out what went wrong in the first place, so you can have time to turn the situation around. It also liberates you from the stress of not succeeding in your classes.
  3. Open your thoughts and feelings: In college, you have your advisor and friends. In your home, you have your family. Don’t deal the situation on your own, you have people to help you, to guide you to the right direction. Listen to what they have to say about your initial decision and their response on how you can turn this around. They are there to help you, take whatever you can make your future better.

Seeing things as positive instead of negative can always improve your life. Smiling towards danger gives you the strength to do things you thought would be impossible. So when you realize your major isn’t the one, give it a big smile, a hug, and say “Thank you”.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer.
