Just when I thought I had my life plan all figured out, it all came crashing down. In this moment, I turned to my supervisor for support. She gave me a prompt that I want to share with everybody else. It has helped me, and I hope that it can help others.

Part 1: Where Do I See Myself In 10 Years

Ten years from now, I will be 30 years old. I hope to be helping change the lives of others. Whether it be from my writing or through face to face daily contact. I know that I want to make a difference. Feeling alone, or not good enough is something that I never ever ever want others to feel.

I also hope to have a home, and maybe be close to starting a family. A huge part of me wants to be a mother and wife. Family is something that I value, and want to continue.

Part 2: Where Do You See Yourself 5 Years From Now?

Five years from now, I will be 25 years old. At this time, I will hopefully be finishing Grad School. I want to go into student affairs, and continue to work on a college campus. I would also like to be a writer while I am in Grad School.

I also want to own my own car within the next five years, but we will see how that goes.

Part 3: How Will I Get There Starting Now?

To obtain these goals, I would first need to graduate degree from Oakland University. I would need to apply for Grad School while finishing my undergrad degree. I also need to focus on my mental health so I am strong enough to get through the difficult times.

Summary

There are always going to be struggles in life, and sometimes it is good to sit back, take a moment and write out your life plan. Things happen and you have no control and the only way to make it through is to stay calm and evaluate your situation. Everything happens for a reason, and all you can do is find the positive and keep climbing the crazy mountain we call life.

Again, thank you Katherine for showing me how to find the positive when I am down. I will always come back to this article and remember how you helped me through.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
