When Life Gets Overwhelming

When life gets overwhelming, there is one thing that you can do: dive into God's word.

We live in a world where we are literally always on the go. We are doing things nonstop, and it seems like we can never catch a break. It's the season where homework starts piling up, clubs demand a lot of your time and all while you're trying to maintain relationships with your family and friends. Life gets hectic, and we get a little overwhelmed with everything. When life gets overwhelming, there is one thing that you can do: dive into God's word. I promise it will cover you with an instant peace. I don't care how busy life gets, you have to take the time to pause and turn to God.

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy -- think about such things." Philippians 4:8

Keep your mind focused on things that are praiseworthy, and I promise that you will be covered in peace. When you keep your mind focused on good things instead of bad things, you will be a lot more content with life and your days will be filled with joy.

"He says, 'Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10

Exactly like what God says, "Be still and know that [He] is God." That is the best thing to do when life gets overwhelming. Just pause for a minute and think about all of the amazing things that God has done for you and will do for you.

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." Isaiah 26:3

You have to trust God in all situations. Life might be a little crazy at the moment, but trust God and I promise that He will get you through any and every situation. He will give you peace if you turn to Him and trust Him.

"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7

God wants you to come to Him when you are feeling overwhelmed. He cares about you more than anyone else, and He wants to be the one you come to for every situation that arises. Spend time with God and tell him what is going on in your life.

"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you." Isiah 41:13

God wants to help you and He always will. Even if you feel like God is millions of miles away, I promise you that is not the case. God is walking right beside you even when you don't realize it. He loves you and He will always be there for you. Don't be afraid because you are never alone.
