Disney World is one of the most popular places in the world for tourists to visit. The park is filled with magical fireworks, Disney characters, parades, funnel cakes, and rides galore! The problem is the long lines. So when is it the perfect time to go to Disney?
One thing to consider is holidays. Without a doubt Disney World becomes extremely packed on holidays. However there is a way to go during holiday season without having to make the long lines. For instance, in October there is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party which is a special event where the villains come out on certain dates of the month. Normally towards the end of the month is when more people arrive to the parks because it is closer to the holiday.
February, May, November and September are months that are always close to empty especially during weekdays. Normally throughout the year the most hectic days of the months are the weekends.
June, July, August, and December are the worst months to go in because the parks are extremely packed. Summer, Christmas, and New Years bring out the most tourists to Disney World parks because of it's spectacular Christmas decorations and Summer and Winter vacation. Students are off of school and certain adults are off from work and are able to visit the parks with no hesitation.
Not only do the parks on summer vacation have the most hectic lines but also the worst weather. The humidity mixed with heat is the worst combination to be in the Disney Parks because on top of the lines being extremely long for a 2 second ride, the lines are also outside under the sun.
In addition, the best times depend on which parks you wish to attend. For instance, Epcot has the Food & Wine festival that runs from September until November, but it also has the International Garden & Flower festival from March until May.
Overall choose your vacation time carefully. It is essential to book a time where less people normally attend due to the fact that you and your friends and family will have a better time. There will be no lines for anything. Of course there's always Fast Pass but you only have the luxury of choosing three at a time for a specific time. When the park is barely full the wait times are no longer than 15 minutes which provide you with access to ride them multiple times repeatedly.
The lines for food and bathrooms will be extremely short and you will finish everything in the park earlier than expected. This will give you plenty of time to catch your breath and stroll around the park, taking in the beauty of all the magical elements that make Walt Disney World the happiest place on earth!
