When do you know when it is time to redecorate? It might be when the layer of dust on your "fancier" couch becomes more like a piece of card stock or it might be when you are completing a homework assignment and realize that the style and furniture in your own house matches quite similarly to that of a historic housing room. You might be asking yourself at this point, how do you fix this old looking space into a new, modern, and contemporary style masterpiece? Despite the obvious thing, which would be to move into a perfectly furnished house that is already equipped with all the little nicknacks and quirks that you want, it isn't entirely possible to achieve that most of the time.
However, there are little and big things you can change to make your house, or just a singular room, way more trendy and up to date with all the new and latest fashion ideas.
One of the most simple things you can do that is sometimes very overlooked, is change the color of your walls. It might sound like an obvious idea, but by changing just the wall color, and keeping all of your furniture, you can brighten the room and make it have more of an open and inviting vibe. Another thing you can do is reface the cabinets. By doing this you change the whole color of the room. You can go from a really dark room to a light room or viceversa.
There are also alternatives if you don't want to have little minute changes as well. You can totally go for more a drastic look if thats what your envisioning. You can replace the cabinets, get new appliances, pick out a new floor, and even paint the walls a new color. All of these little things combined together makes for a drastic change in your own home. Some people aren't ready for such a big undertaking, which is totally understandable. But if you are, more power to you. Depending on how efficient your construction team is ad how much you are actually changing, this whole reconstruction can take from about 2 months to up to a year. So if you are willing to spend a lot of time and money on this extravagant project, you could make one amazing house!
