Alicia Keys sang it best: "In New York, Concrete jungle where dreams are made of there's nothing you can't do." If going to the Big Apple is on your bucket list here are some must see places and things to do.

1. Broadway

No matter the show, Broadway is absolutely phenomenal! Head on down to 42nd Street and enjoy the theatre magic.

2. Juniors

After a long day of being a New Yorker, take a break and try some yummy cheesecake!

3. Governor's Island

If you're looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle, take a ferry to Governor's Island. Enjoy the colonial atmosphere and listen to the serenity of the Hudson River.

4. China Town (Wo-Hop)

Looking for some good Chinese food? Go to Wo Hop in China Town and try some of the best Asian cuisine you'll ever taste.

5. Brooklyn Bridge

Take the subway to Brooklyn and walk the bridge. But whatever you do, don't walk in the bike lane!

6. Top of the Rock

This is the view from the top of the Rockefeller building. Enough said...

7. Diamond District

It's true what they say, "Diamonds are a girl's best friend."

8. Dylan's Candy Bar

If you're a candy fanatic, like as myself, you will love Dylan's Candy Bar. Even the floor is made of candy.

9. 9/11 Museum and Reflecting Pool

What humbleness and grateful feelings come over you after viewing the 9/11 Museum and reflecting pool. We must never forget!

10. Times Square

I love the lights in Times Square. Whatever you do, don't talk to Elmo.

11. Central Park

You could spend a whole day in Central Park. However, you should definitely go up into the tower of the Belvedere Castle. Such a terrific view.

12. Grand Central

Watch people rush to and fro trying to get to work and take in the authentic feel of New York City living.

13. Ice Cream Museum

Go and dive into the pool of sprinkles! Yeah you heard me, SPRINKLES!

14. Little Italy

Some of the best pizza in your life.

15. High Line

Walk on top of the city on the old train tracks. You can relax in the sun or dine in the shade. It's one of the most unique places in NYC.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
