When in Doubt, Book a Flight

This day and age, it seems like we're growing up faster, becoming more independent sooner (or so we might think). It seems like life keeps throwing us projects and taking away the hours in a day. In a fast paced world, it's not hard to realize that sometimes all you need is a break.

I'm sure we've all made an imaginary bucket list, that holds a permanent place in our minds, detailing all the places we'd love to see. So, why not pick one? You're not getting any younger or any less busy so why not just go?

Take a friend, maybe it's someone you'd like to get closer with or maybe it's someone you know like that back of your hand. Regardless of who you take with you, just go!

If you haven't noticed by now, there isn't any time left for feeling sorry for yourself. If you're uncertain about something and can't seem to shake that feeling, have you ever thought that maybe getting out of the environment you're in 24/7 might help?

Allow the whole process of the trip to push you out of the funk and into a state of awe. A state where you can't believe the world is really this beautiful. Take a ton of pictures from your plane window. Hold a conversation with your Uber driver. Thank the maids who make your hotel bed every morning. Eat like a local. Eat like a tourist.

Uprooting yourself- even if only for a week- allows you to throw out that uncertainty so that you have more room in your mind and heart to soak up all the new adventures awaiting your arrival. You deserve some fun, so what are you waiting for? Do one thing everyday that scares you, right?

Whatever you do and wherever you go, do it passionately. When in doubt, book a flight.

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
