A Reminder To Myself When I'm Feeling Bluer Than My Usual Blue

It's okay to feel blue but not okay to push everyone that loves you away.

Hey you,

No matter what's going on, it's always going to be okay. Please stop saying slightly worrisome things like you don't want to be here and making people worry about you. I know you probably don't want to be here. If everything seems as if it's not going the way that you want or expected know that things usually work out in the end. Everything has seemingly served a purpose up to this point in your life. So please, please, stop stressing about everything going wrong.

If you can't stop crying, that's alright, it's going to eventually stop and you'll be able to breathe through your nose again. No worries.

Be patient. You're not the only one that's going through things. We all have our own problems. We all have our own burdens. You are never, ever, ever alone.

Also-- you do have a purpose. You've made more of an impact on people around you than you know. Always remember that you are gonna be alright. It's so absolutely okay. You matter. You matter to your entire family. You matter to all your friends. And your fur-children!!!

Please be patient with that little mind too. Sometimes it's going to tell you like you're no good and you're worthless. But trust me, you're really not. You are good. Your life has worth. You are worth so much to so many people. It's not fair that your mind does this to you and makes you think otherwise but you constantly have to remember that you are loved and that it's going to be alright always.

I know some days it seems like there are no reasons to do anything. Stay in bed. Take a break for an hour (or a day). But don't let your mind ruminate. Stop letting it control your mind!

We're going to be alright.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

You know that all of these things apply to you. You'll just never tell.

CSU

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
