Donald Trump has not failed to amuse us since entering the Presidential race. His comments have angered the nation; from racial comments to comments that upset women. This past week, a recording of Trump's lewd comments about women have been revealed.
The conversation took place about eleven years ago. The conversation between Access Hollywood's Billy Bush and the presidential candidate was picked up on the microphone. Trump was to meet "Days of Our Lives" soap actress Arianne Zucker. Comments such as groping and kissing women were revealed. Trump saying, "When you're a star, you can do anything." Women and men around the nation are disgusted at the comments and find them degrading to women.
Trump has come out to the public and has given an apology. Not only did he apologize, but he played the blame game with Bill Clinton saying that Clinton was much worse than he was with women. If you're going to apologize, just apologize. Don't bring Bill Clinton into something that you said eleven years ago. The Republican party is telling and urging Trump to drop out of the race. Not too long afterward Trump tweeted on Twitter, "I will not drop out." What do these lewd comments mean to the presidential race? Trump has probably lost voters; especially women voters.
Although, is it enough voters to cost his win in the race? Possibly. The president has taken a role in America as the physical representation of our country. How does it look for our country when the representation makes degrading and lewd remarks towards others? This is what many Americans are thinking. Another thing that's playing in the race for president is racial subjects.
Some claim that Trump is racist, which most likely he is. But Hilary Clinton is too. Let's be honest, neither of these candidates really know about diverse minorities. It's not how they grew up and how they were raised. It's obvious that Clinton is just trying to gain more votes by bringing in the race card and vice-versa. Neither of these candidates are a good representation of our country. But let's take the time to think for a minute.
Yes, Trump's comments are lewd and disgusting, but those comments have nothing affecting our country. Do his comments have anything to do with the decisions that he makes for our nation? Bill Clinton was one of the best presidents for our country until the public found out about his little affair with then-intern Monica Lewinsky. They all have character and moral flaws, but are those flaws big enough to affect the decisions made for our country?
So ask yourself America before you vote this year if you'd rather vote for a womanizing pig or a compulsive liar... because those are your choices.
