Throughout our lives, we all have to make important decisions. Whether it's what school to go to, what to major in, what job to take, or even who to marry, we all have to make a decision and face what all those decisions will bring. When we make these decisions, however, we often ask ourselves one question: What if? What if I had chosen to go to a different college? What if I had chosen a different major? What if I wasn't in this relationship?

When we are forced to chose something, our thoughts often go wild thinking of what could have been and maybe what should have been. Sometimes when we think and feel like we have made the wrong decision, we also think we have missed out on God's plans for our lives. What if my one choice wasn't what God intended and I have messed up all His plans? What if I took the completely wrong path?

"If you think you've blown God's plan for your life, rest in this: You, my beautiful friend, are not that powerful." — Lisa Bever

You cannot change God's plans. You cannot miss them. Sure, you may take a wrong turn and add a detour to His path, but He will ultimately get you to where He wants you.

Jeremiah 29:11 says,

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"

God already knows where you are going. He has your destination set. You cannot miss His purpose and His path. We literally do not have the power to change what God has already planned and set in place.

Even when you feel like you took a wrong turn or made the wrong decision, trust that God has you on His path. He will lead you to where He wants you to go, if you will let Him. You have to listen to His voice and let Him move you in the right direction.

Next time you wonder if you missed HIs plan or path, trust Him. Give your worry away and have faith that God is watching over you and leading you.

God's got you, my friend.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
