College is full of stress. Especially when the midterm season comes up, you have 5 projects to do, eight papers and all the math homework in the world. Take some time to unwind.

1. Treat yourself

This doesn't have to be a full-blown spa day (the college budget limits us) but maybe treat yourself to a face mask and some ice cream.

2. Have a movie night

Whether you want to get a few friends together or have a solo movie night, find a good movie and make yourself some popcorn.

3. Make some art

Pick up some paint and a canvas and let your creativity flow. Doing art can be such a fun and relaxing thing when you've had a stressful week.

4. Spend quality time with friends

It might be going out or just staying in and enjoying each others company. Having some good friends around can help you stop worrying about all the stress of college.

5. Read a book you've always wanted to read but never made the time

Nobody likes reading the textbook or assigned books, but finding one you enjoy can actually be relaxing.

6. Take a nap

This one is probably my favorite. Not getting enough sleep is a common theme at college, so taking naps is almost necessary. Take one and wake up (hopefully) feeling energized and ready to get all of that homework and studying done.

Try some of these things to become a little less stressed! Make sure you're taking care of yourself while you get through college.

Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
