Kylie Jenner has been slaying the beauty industry lately, however the launch of her newest product has some people in an uproar. The 19-year-old reality star launched her own beauty brand in 2016 and since then her products have been some of the most talked about and hyped beauty products ever. Her first launch sold on in seconds, no not minutes, seconds! It even crashed her website. The demand for her products has been insane and she sells out almost every time she launches a new product. Starting with the famous Kylie lip kits her company has now grown to a variety of products such as lip glosses, eye liners, eye shadow pallets, highlighters and now blush. Recently there has been some controversy over her snap chat sneak peaks, which honestly I live for, which showcase her new line of blushes and it's got nothing to do with the product itself.
Jenner posted a few snapchat videos of the blushes to show the colors and names and the internet was not pleased. A lot of people had some harsh feedback. Fans (and many foe) took to Twitter saying that the names of the products were "overly sexualized" and not appropriate for younger consumers.
Kylie loves the sex appeal. She's all about glam and being confident. I mean if anyone is following Kylie on her social media accounts there are already exposed to many "sexy" pictures, poses and videos so I think the blush names are the least of the worries there.
Many rumors have also emerged that the names of the blushes are hinting towards Kylie's relationship with rapper Tyga. Since she was underage, aka "barely legal", when they were said have started dating.
Now, naughty names of makeup is nothing new, I mean hello have we forgotten about Nars's infamous Orgasm blush, which by the way is their best seller, and Too Faced's Better Than Sex mascara. Personally, I think names of products are meant to draw attention and have nothing to do with the actual product. Some brands that use weird or dirty names produce some of the most amazing makeup and those who are offended should simply just... skip it.
Whether or not you support Kylie's new blush names, you have to admit she's is pretty cool girl boss.
