Food is amazing and if you love food you're considered a foodie. But what does that mean? By definition, a foodie is a person with a particular interest in food. That doesn't just mean you love eating, you could also love cooking or baking.

I definitely consider myself a foodie. I love food for its look as well as its taste. If you're like me you know that food is the best thing every and you're always hungry and awaiting the next meal.

Food does great things for you and your body. It makes your body all happy inside, especially if you give it your favorite foods. And some foods you eat feel like the gods above presented you with it because you feel like it's that good.

Being a foodie definitely has its ups and downs. But anyone who is one will definitely understand what it is like. For those who aren't one, here's a quick list of everything that goes through a foodies mind through out a day.

Trying new foods sounds like fun.

When it comes to making new recipes, or trying something new on the menu, you're all about that. New food excite you and your belly.

Food will never hurt you. It loves you like you love it.

Food won't hurt you like people will. It will always be there for you no matter what you are feeling or what's going on in your life.

Eating makes you feel better.

When you're a foodie, food is the only thing that will make everything (for the time being of course). Had a bad day? Go ahead and eat all the ice cream you want.

Eating is one of the best times of the day.

Since you love eating and food, eating becomes your favorite parts of the day. It because all that you look forward to doing until you eat, and then you can't wait to do it again.

You miss food when you aren't eating.

So you are usually the people asking first if the food is ready or if you can start eating yet. But that's okay because someone has to do it. Since you're always ready to eat and always hungry, everyone can rely on you to be that person.

Being a foodie isn't always a bad thing. Okay so, maybe you're hungry all the time and maybe you just want to eat, but you're always there to explore new recipes or new foods. You aren't afraid to bake or cook or just taste something. And since you're experienced, people might rely on you to be a good judge. Don't be afraid to admit you love food, even if you love food more than you love people. Embrace being a foodie.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
