The newest season of "Ru Paul's Drag Race" was kicked off last Friday. The episode showed off all the talent and was pretty good. Lady Gaga killed it as a judge. However my official review is: confused.

Normally there is a mini challenge, which tends to be a photo shoot. But this time there was none. Instead the season 9 queens were immediately thrown into the main challenge, which consisted of two runway looks. One was meant to represent their home town, and the other was the queens' best Gaga impression. This was odd but not to weird. Still it put the show off to a weird start.

One thing that was the most confusing, was the fact Ru was not in drag. Fans of the show know that in the work room Ru is never in drag, just a nice suit. However, on the main stage Ru always looks her best in some time of gown with big hair. This time Ru was not in drag at all. And most of the fans feelings can be described by this:

Then, to end the episode, Ru announced that there will be a 14th queen. Ru always adds curve balls to the competition and has even made jokes about bringing back queens, but this time she announced there will be another queen at the very end and not revealing who it is.

This has been a weird and confusing start to the season. I am still excited for the rest of the season.
