What Your Favorite Thanksgiving Dish Means

Thanksgiving is upon us and that means food. Lots of food. Everyone gets to gather with their family and eat until they're in pain. Obviously, every dish offered at Thanksgiving is amazing, but everyone has to have a favorite. You may not know this, but your favorite dish says an awful lot about you. Keep reading to find out more about yourself.

1. Turkey

If turkey is your favorite dish then you are very straightforward and simple. Some may refer to you at times as a "plain Jane." People know what they're gonna get with you, and you don't often surprise anyone. You can be boring at times, but that doesn't matter because everyone will always love you.

2. Stuffing

If stuffing is your favorite dish, then you are known as the fun one. You don't care what anyone thinks about you. Whether they love you or they hate you, it doesn't bother you. You just keep doing your own thing. You are very carefree and once people get to know you, they can't get enough of you.

3. Mashed Potatoes

If mashed potatoes are your favorite, then you're very popular, and all of your life you have been referred to as the cool kid. It's hard to find a single person who doesn't like you. You are always doing things for other people and putting them before you. You are easy to talk to and everyone knows they can always come to you whenever they have a problem.

4. Green Beans

If green beans are your favorite, then you are very mature. You probably act as the mom in your friend group. You always like to make sure everything is going smoothly and under control. You don't mind staying in and being quiet every now and then. Bonus: if green bean casserole is your favorite then you try to act mature, but deep down you're just like the stuffing lovers.

5. Sweet Potato Casserole

If the sweet potato casserole is your favorite, then you are a little different, but in a good way. People enjoy your company because you keep things interesting. You don't like conforming to what everyone else is doing and you make that known. You are never afraid to speak your mind and won't let anyone else tell you what to think. You're very independent.

6. Cranberry Sauce

If you can't go without cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving you are uptight and a bit of a know it all. You never understand why people don't enjoy having conversations with you. You don't really have many close friends, but that is okay with you because you are just fine being on your own.

7. Pie

If pie is your favorite, then you are a wild child. You love everyone and are always up for a good time no matter what. Everyone loves having you at Thanksgiving because you make sure everyone is having a good time. You are great with kids and also know how to win over adults.

If you didn't already know, I am a food expert so all of these summaries of your personality are 100% true. Even if you don't think so, they are. Enjoy your Thanksgiving and pile up your favorite dish 'cause no one can judge you on this special holiday!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
