What Your Favorite Ice Cream Flavor Says About You

Whenever I am asked what my favorite food is, I usually feel inclined to say ice cream. Although I love all things cheesy and carb-loaded, ice cream is by far my favorite dessert. To be fair, I'd say pizza and ice cream are probably tied for my favorite foods, but I eat ice cream more than pizza, so for the sake of this article I am going to go with ice cream being my favorite food. Clearly, I'm living a very healthy, nutritious lifestyle.

Pizza flavored ice cream. Heaven? Probably not, ew.

I think I could eat ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For as long as I remember, my flavor of choice was chocolate chip cookie dough. Even when I venture to Ben & Jerry's, unless they have "Half-Baked," I will stay loyal to what I know is right and order chocolate chip cookie dough. While I know many might say that this is not true, I believe that your ice cream flavor of choice says a lot about you as a person. For instance, chocolate chip cookie dough lovers are those who love surprises. They are risk-takers, and they are explorers. Chocolate chip cookie dough eaters are not too serious, but can be when needed. Chocolate chip cookie dough lovers are also silly; they love to have a good time but are structured and organized.

Next, for the vanilla lovers; although many refer to vanilla being basic, I think choosing vanilla over all the other flavors demonstrates your simplicity and appreciation for true beauty. Vanilla lovers, to me, are poised and pristine and embrace traditions. While not the most adventurous, these eaters are very thoughtful, always looking to make others around them happy.

Chocolate lovers, on the other hand, are more adventurous and indulgent. When I see someone eating chocolate ice cream, it signals to me that they are elegant and also poised in nature. These eaters cherish taste and value rationality, always thinking strategically and straight-forward to solve problems, etc. Chocolate lovers enjoy learning about culture and people with diverse backgrounds.

Next, onto another of the classic ice cream flavors. Coffee. Coffee lovers are what I would call "chill." These people are very kind and love to relax. Although very easy to get along with, coffee lovers are also very independent, often found in obscure places reading a book or drinking coffee. These people are also more likely to go with the flow, and do not enjoy complaining about anything. A mix of introverts and extroverts.

Cookies and cream lovers are funny. They are always cracking jokes and making those around them feel good and laugh. Along with having a good sense of humor, these eaters are very sweet, enjoying every minute life has to offer. Cookies and cream lovers are impulsive, acting spontaneously when it comes to making decisions, and they are often flirtatious as well.

Next, mint chocolate chip. Mint chocolate chip lovers are very confident, but not overconfident. They are whole-hearted and caring and will always go out of their way to help you. Mint chip lovers are also very easy to get along with, as they are also calm and willing to listen. These people enjoy finding plot twists in life and making the best of every situation.

Lastly, strawberry ice cream lovers are on the more introverted side. They are very sophisticated in their thoughts and are always put together, ready to face on whatever the day has for them. Strawberry lovers are deliberate thinkers and enjoy setting goals for themselves. These people are serious about their passions and reliable in nature.

Personally for me, even though I usually tend to pick chocolate chip cookie dough whenever I go out to ice cream, I've realized that all ice cream flavors have a lot to offer and bring to the table. In order to be more adventurous, I should indulge in different flavors that I may not realize I enjoy. I should never be strayed from ordering a flavor because I think it is too simple or basic, as sometimes the simplest foods are the most delicious. There is a lot to be said about what each ice cream flavor says about you, and these are only the classic flavors - there are so many more out there. Never be afraid to try something new or a flavor or food that doesn't typically fall within your personality or comfort zone.

What's your flavor?

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
