The holidays, as some will claim, are a time of year chalk full of the best films around. Maybe it is because the holiday season makes everyone feel warm inside and in the mood to watch something to bring the family together, or someone got recently engaged and they are filled with love. Whatever is it, everyone has a film or two that are their absolute favorite thing to watch, especially this time of year. While I can watch just about anything, there are few films I consider watching over and over, every year. The same goes for my mom dad and friends. Each movie says something different about the person who watches them though. If your favorite holiday film is...
"Home Alone" and "Home Alone 2"
You’re a prankster and love some family drama with a bit of light hearted children comedy. You like a good Donald Trump cameo and you also love to use quotes as captions. When you can’t think of anything there’s nothing better than “Merry Christmas You Filthy Animals!”
"How The Grinch Stole Christmas"
You’re a kid at heart who is just a little extra. You secretly wish you lived in Whoville and if you did then Little Cindy Lou Who would be your BFF. But deep down you are really a Grinch who loves peaceful alone time with your dog, who is probably watching the movie along side you.
"Love Actually"
You are a hopeless romantic, obviously. Not to mention, unlike a lot of other people you are probably the person that hopes to get engaged over the holidays. You make friends with guys very easily and are definitely a flirt which can tend to get you in trouble, but like the movie you think there is always a happy ending to true love.
"Elf"
This is the ultimate movie to get everyone in the happy holiday spirit. You love Will Ferrell and Zoe Deschanel. You can basically quote the whole story and love to walk around spreading holiday cheer. Your family probably has gingerbread decorating contests and you try to stay true to the four main food groups over the holidays. In fact, any time you see candy canes or coffee like Buddy you jump for joy.
"It’s A Wonderful Life"
This classic old school movie really makes you count your blessings, you are a thoughtful gift giver and love being surrounded by those who appreciate and love you back. You enjoy the simple things in life and are very modest. You are a fan of black and white movies and can watch them all day long with a nice glass of wine and some popcorn.
"When Harry Met Sally"
You are the ultimate fan of romantic comedies. You are always up for adventure like a true New Yorker, and have always wanted to go to that famous deli (you know what I’m talking about). You are in love with the 80’s and '90s fashion scene and are so glad for its come back. You are also secretly just as high maintenance as Sally and have never been able to admit it.
