What Your Favorite Campus Building Says About You

We all have a favorite building for class. What does this mean, though?

What Your Favorite Campus Building Says About You

Noyes Laboratory

You're used to being the smartest one in the room, but not without sacrifice. You study more than anyone you know, and you're usually studying AT Noyes. You sometimes sleep less in a night than the time you spent throughout the day at Noyes... because your tests are actually impossible. However, your genius will someday pay off. Keep on studying.

Davenport Hall

You're an unconditional friend. Despite the fact that Davenport does not seem to ever NOT be under construction, you love its charm regardless. You appreciate how old it seems, and don't mind its cranes and dumpsters. You love things for what they are, and that's a great quality.

Grainger Engineering Library

You're probably pretty tech-savvy and enjoy getting things done efficiently. Why study at some janky underground library when you could just go to one of the nicest facilities on campus? You enjoy a good environment. And you enjoy learning as much as you possibly can.

Gregory Hall

You're a media person, and you're pretty optimistic. You never think the grass is greener, in fact, you love what you already DO have. Sure, Greg may not be the nicest, newest... or even the cleanest. But, there's some sweet editing programs in the basement. And that's all you need in life.

Lincoln Hall

You're a person who appreciates a nice, clean environment. You enjoy how new and nice Lincoln is, and you find its atmosphere very calming and easy to focus in. You enjoy a challenge (aka, finding classrooms in Lincoln) but you like the space around you to be pleasant and relaxing. You're also pretty versatile, since pretty much every student has had a class in Lincoln.

Foreign Language Building

You're extremely versatile and you love challenging yourself to be more cultured. Instead of speaking one language, you want to know three. You want to see the world and experience as much as you can. Or, your lab somehow got assigned to a classroom in the bowels of the FLB and you have no idea why the heck you're there. Nice.

English Building

You have a way with words. You're the friend who proofreads everyones English papers. You're the friend who reads a book every week without challenge. You can be a grammar snob, but you love it. You LOVE you know the difference between then/than and you're/your and wonder why the entire world hasn't mastered that yet.

Wohlers Hall

You're a business-y type of person. You're part of one of the most elite majors on campus, and you know it. Sure, maybe this might make you come across a little pompous... but not without sacrifice. No one appreciates how much hard work goes into a business major at Illinois. Those stats classes can be no joke.

Business Instructional Facility (The "BIF")

You're a forward-thinker and mature. You love being professional but you also love problem solving. You can't wait to enter the business world and enter the work force. You're powerful and you have conviction. You also own a ton of professional/business professional clothes, so. That's pretty cool.

Undergraduate Library (The "UGL")

There is just absolutely no way this is anyone's favorite building. The place is LITERALLY underground.

Altgeld Hall

You're most likely a good problem solver, and you're pretty good with numbers. You appreciate the antiqueness of Altgeld, but... you appreciate math a whole lot more.

Foellinger Auditorium

You're a people person, and enjoy being surrounded by lots of people at all times. Crowds do not overwhelm you--In fact, you enjoy them.

The Union

You're most likely a hard worker who likes to spend time in between classes grabbing a bite to eat and spending a few extra minutes studying. And, you're wise. Instead of walking all of the way home, you make the short walk to the Union for a quick nap.

Education Building

You're selfless and you're a leader. You're dedicating your life to educating others, and that is extremely admirable. You are most likely the most mature out of all of your friends, and you have a passion for education all around.

Psychology Building

You're all about world issues and the inner-workers of peoples minds. You are the therapist out of all of your friends, and are amazing at giving advice. You're an incredible listener, and you can't wait to devote yourself to others.

Loomis Hall

You're most likely the smartest out of all of you friends. In fact, you're the smartest out of everyone at the University of Illinois. You're the prize of the school. A novelty. An "engineer." Without you, the school wouldn't be nearly as prestigious. Keep doing you.

David Kinley Hall

You're the kind of person who roots for the underdog. You don't mind simplicity, and being underrated. Sure, DKH is a little out of the way and under-glorified... but that doesn't mean you love it any less.

The Armory

You don't mind a little confusion in your life. In fact, you're good at handling chaos and you don't mind a challenge. You're also a person of many talents since the Armory is used for about 100 different things.

Animal Sciences Laboratory

You aren't afraid of science and numbers. In fact, it is your strength. And, you're hoping with this strength that you can one day make a difference. You're an animal lover (who isn't?) but you hope that your love of science can one day help an animal or two.

Toilet Troubles

"So, usually I would never go on a Tinder date but when you are out with girlfriends and a hot Bosnian guy says he wants to hang with you and his friends, you oblige. We head to their apartment and when I realized I may pee my pants if I don't find a bathroom soon. I ask for the bathroom and a friend of my tinder date shows me to it and said in all seriousness that I was not allowed to flush the toilet under ANY circumstances. Having a few drinks--or five--I relieved myself to, nevertheless, flush the toilet. Within seconds, his bathroom was flooded and towels were laid out everywhere to catch the toilet water. To say the least, we were not invited back"
