What Your Choker Style Says About You

By no means am I a fashion guru or what you're about to read is something I've researched. This is just some simple opinions by yours truly.

1. Basic

You keep it simple but your definitely into what's trending now, however you're not trying to get all flashy and spend a lot of money on trends that will probably fade within the next year. You drink vodka & water when you go out and leggings are your best friend.

2. Interesting

You like to make things a big deal, but not too big. You for sure want to get a couple compliments on your neckwear but you don't want to go overboard. You love kimonos and dark lip stick and you're always first to try the new drink on the menu. Plus you're awesome at contouring.

3. Sweet

You also like things simple, but your one to go above and beyond (i.e. the little diamonds). You want to be hippie-like but you also love your Instagram. You probably listen to a lot of folk, indie, acoustic music and drink craft beer in your Birkenstocks.

4. Chill

You don't really care about fashion but you don't want to not fit in so you just give your best effort. You probably don't wear a bra very often and drink natty light every weekend.

5. 90's or nah

You often talk about the old days "1990-2000" and wear a lot of grunge. You probably don't wash your hair very often and still pulling off the butt cut (middle part). You love friends and can relate to phoebe on a spiritual level, but you don't want people to know you're not as hard as you make it out to be.

6. The hippie

You have at least 4 salt lamps and giant tapestries everywhere. You are all natural and super proud of that! You're not into iPhones or technology and you love tree-houses. You're all about self love and taking care of your body. You drink a lot of water and don't eat meat.

7. The Fake

You're not into chokers but you wear one anyways. You're always pulling at it and constantly trying to fix your fake eyelashes. Now you aren't fake as a person (unless you really are) but you do like the looks of high fashion, even if it is knockoff. You drink expensive win just to Instagram it.

8. The All Out

You have no problem wearing a choker and numerous other neck wear. You love everything trendy and you literally go all out when you go out. You will drink anything put in front of you (especially free) and you work really hard on your lip matte perfection.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
