What You HAVE To Do This Summer
We Heart It

It's that time of the year again: Summer! The time when your skin gets darker and your hair gets lighter. Who doesn't love summer? It's honestly one of the greatest moments to happen to every person that attends school. Since summer is just around the corner, I thought I would be a bit of a help in what you should definitely do this summer to make it the best one yet.

The first thing you must do this summer is to attend a music festival. It's the perfect weather and time to attend one. For me, I always go to Summerfest because it's the closest music festival to where I live. If you don't know any good music festivals to attend where you live, no worries! Try to Google any outside concerts that are approaching--or just go to Ticketmaster to go see your favorite artist, duh! Just try to attend at least one or two concerts this summer with your closest friends-- y'all will have an amazing time. Just think about all those cute Instagrams. Do it. Do it for the Instagram!

The second thing you should do this summer is to change the way you look. Try out a new hairstyle or new hair color! You won't know how good it makes you look unless you try! Personally, a new hair cut or color always makes me feel like a brand new person. Want to try something crazy and dye your hair pink? Go for it! You just may be able to pull off that pink hair better than Nicki Minaj. Just saying.

Another thing you should consider doing this summer is to have a summer romance fling with a cutie. Unless you're already taken and are completely sold by some hottie...Then don't. Don't you dare install that Tinder app! For you that are single and ready to mingle: go try it out! It'll be fun and there are no strings attached. I mean, who wouldn't want their life to be a movie where you meet a cutie patootie at a summer camp or some other place and then happen to have a short thing with them?

Another thing you should do is sign up for a 5K or a bubble run. Personally, I have not done one yet and am seriously planning on doing the bubble run near where I live. You'll feel so amazing and refreshed after you've done it. It'll be a huge accomplishment and you'll feel so great about yourself! Don't want to do it alone? Get your friends to sign up with you! You can all enjoy the event together and it'll go by so much faster when you're with your friends because all of you will have such an amazing time.

Last, seriously consider zip lining. If you're afraid of heights, then maybe you should stay clear from this one. For those that are daring and want are thrill-hungry then really do try this out this summer! There's this amazing feeling of rush that happens when you do it. It's the best. Plus, this gives you the right to shout like Tarzan while you do it and no one will judge you.

Have a happy, fun and safe summer everyone!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
