"Aw, you are the perfect height for an armrest," as many taller people say to short people. However, I am actually not your arm rest no matter how short I might be. Here are a few common occurrences that happen to short people that tall people might not have experienced, and a few ridiculous sayings I have also heard along the way.

1. Laundry

Laundry becomes a complete exercise and those socks in the bottom are just going to have to stay until next time!

2. Hood of the car?

Well, it's nonexistent to us!

3. Shouldn't you ride in a car seat?Yeah, so I can look like this?

4. Clothes shopping is a nightmare!!

The view we often see every time we try on pants.

5. Always having to run with your friends when they are walking

"Wait for me! I have short legs!"

6. "Can you reach that for me?"

We have all done it before...

7. Your feet don't touch

When everyone else's feet touch and yours don't.

8. Always losing your friends in stores

It might be easier to squat and look below the racks to find who you need rather than trying to look over the racks.

9. The driver's seat is all the way up while driving and must be pushed back in order to exit the vehicle.

10. Concerts

They are a no go if you planned on seeing the concert.

11. When the pool says "5ft"...

12. When your tall friends say they're short and you wonder what they think you are.

13. For the love of God, I am not "cute and little"

14. Everything becomes a dress

15. Knee high boots are more like thigh highs.

16. If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me how tall (or short, lol) I am..

17. "Hold on, let me grab my step stool.."

18. Having that one utensil to help you grab things off the top shelf.

It may be a reacher, a knife or anything else we may find!

19. When your friends want to pick you up for pictures and realize you're not as small as your height!

*Face plants*

20. All of our "short people problems" are bad but we also have a lot of advantages in this tall world.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
