NYC Events You Don't Want to Miss This Fall

Fact: There is no excuse to be bored in New York City. If you disagree, I promise you that at any given moment, there is something happening somewhere in this city that can change your mind. New York City offers endless opportunities for spontaneous adventures and exciting new experiences. Whether you are visiting for the weekend or returning to school here in a few weeks, this Fall is jam-packed with awesome events and activities that you should know about!

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

September 10 – 17

Lights, camera, action! Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is headed to NYC this Fall, so prepare yourself for a week full of glitz and glamour. Chances are you won't be attending any of the fashion shows, but the buzz surrounding each event is exciting enough for fashion-lovers everywhere.

Commemoration of September 11

Although both the 9/11 Museum and Memorial are open to visitors throughout the year, visiting both as New York City commemorates the events of September 11is especially powerful. Take some time out from your daily routine to reflect on the day's events.

New York City Motorexpo

September 13 – 19

Motorexpo is hosting its eighth annual event this year in September, transforming Lower Manhattan’s Brookfield Place to showcase the auto industry’s latest luxury vehicles. You definitely don’t have to be a car enthusiast to appreciate Motorexpo’s luxury vehicle displays (especially when admission is free), which in the past have included cars by Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Lamborghini, and Rolls Royce, among several others.

Global Citizen Festival

Saturday, September 26

Take action, make a difference, and earn a chance to win free tickets to the Global Citizens Festival. With headliners Beyoncé, Pearl Jam, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran taking the stage in Central Park, you’re almost guaranteed a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The festival has taken an unconventional approach, however, by encouraging hopeful concert-goers to complete eight “Global Steps,” such as tweeting support for global education or signing a petition to raise awareness about the Global Food Security Act, before their name is entered in a ticket raffling system. Six different ticket drawings will be held between July 29 and September 21, and 24,000 winners will each receive a pair of tickets to the festival. Fans must register and create an account on the festival's website. An incredible opportunity that you don’t want to miss!

Museum Day Live!

Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country offer free admission to visitors presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket, which gains two visitors access to a museum.
