I scrolled through my Facebook timeline a few days ago and I came across something very interesting. It was a quote by Malcolm X about voting for the lesser of two evils; you know, kind of like today's election. Anyone who is skeptical that history repeats itself, this quote by Malcolm X may get you to rethink that. Here’s the quote:
"If Johnson had been running all by himself, he would not have been acceptable to anyone. The only thing that made him acceptable to the world was that the shrewd capitalists, the shrewd imperialists, knew that the only way people would run toward the fox would be if you showed them a wolf. So they created a ghastly alternative. And it had the whole world—including people who call themselves Marxists—hoping that Johnson would beat Goldwater.

I have to say this: Those who claim to be enemies of the system were on their hands and knees waiting for Johnson to get elected — because he is supposed to be a man of peace. And at that moment he had troops invading the Congo and South Vietnam! He even has troops in areas where other imperialists have already withdrawn."
This quote is really powerful. I’m not going to analyze the quote because it is pretty straight forward. Watch what happens when I replace "Johnson" with "Clinton", "Goldwater" with "Trump", the "Congo and Vietnam" with "a no-fly zone in Syria" and "Marxists" with "liberals" and you will see how true this quote is for this year’s election. Tell me the quote still wouldn’t read true today.

And at that moment she promised to create a no-fly zone in Syria which could potentially lead to a Third World War! She even wants troops in areas where other imperialists have already withdrawn."
The shoe fits. Hillary would not be acceptable to anyone if Donald Trump was not the ghastly alternative. Hillary Clinton has the second highest unfavorable rating in the history of the presidential elections. Her unfavorable ratings were as high as 58 percent. She has the lowest trustworthy and honesty rating in the history of presidential elections. The only reason Hillary is not getting destroyed in the general election is because she’s running against the worst candidate in history: Donald Trump. Donald Trump has the highest unfavorable rating in history with his unfavorable ratings as high as 65 percent in some polls.
If a normal republican ran against Hillary Clinton, she would be getting destroyed. If the majority of the republican base decided to have just a little bit of sense and vote for John Kasich, does anyone doubt that Hillary would be down about 10 points right now? I don’t agree with Kasich on the majority of his policies, but Hillary Clinton would have zero chance in the general election if Kasich were the nominee. Let’s think about it, Republicans could have had a sensible logical candidate heading their party but instead, majority of republicans decided to be hateful, bigoted, horrible people. Donald Trump admitted he’s a serial sexual assaulter and Hillary only leads Donald Trump by 5.5 percent in polls on average. Bernie Sanders before the Trump tapes, polls showed that he led Trump by 10 points on average.
The democrats coronated their worst candidate in history and the republican voters respond by nominating the worst candidate in history. Congratulation, now you’re going to be stuck with Hillary as your president. You deserve it.
The democrats and America were really lucky to avoid a Trump presidency this time around. I’m just being real; the election is over unless some major scandal comes out about Hillary. The leaked emails aren’t going to sink her campaign. People don’t really care about the emails nor do they understand it’s content and significance. They definitely don’t care about it nearly as much as Trump being serial sexual assaulter. I’m not sure the democrats and America will be so lucky next time around. If Donald Trump was less outwardly crazy, he would have destroyed Hillary. The person who thinks just like Trump but seems normal exists and will run in the near future seeing the success Trump had. That person will be successful if the Democrats continue to be neoliberal, war hawk, corporatist party that screws over the people.
The only argument people have for why they are voting for Hillary is because Trump is bad and he is much worse than Hillary. Chris Hedges once said “The only thing Hillary Clinton and the corporatist have to offer you is fear. You got to vote for them because where else are you going to go, Trump? As soon as you stop being afraid, that’s when they get afraid.”
George Orwell once said, “A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims but accomplices.” Everyone who voted for and played a part in inevitably helping getting Hillary elected are not victims of the economic, environmental, social, and foreign policy disaster that Hillary Clinton will be, they are accomplices in the atrocity.
Hillary would not be an acceptable to anyone if Trump wasn’t on the other side. Everyone is running towards the Fox (Hillary Clinton) because of the Wolf (Donald Trump). People who claim they are enemies of the establishment are now on their hands and knees praying that Hillary Clinton gets elected. While y’all do that, I won’t be complicit in this crime. I will be voting for Jill Stein this fall because Hillary like Trump, is not an acceptable candidate. History repeats itself. If you do not learn from history, you will become a victim of it. We are very well on our way to becoming victims of history. Malcolm X wouldn't vote for the lesser of two evils because he knew better. Neither should you. I'm here to tell you the truth. Love it or hate it, I will give you the facts. If you don't want facts, go watch Fox News.
