Working in customer service can be very hard. Anybody that has worked one knows that it can be stressful between the crying babies, rude customers and those people that seem to want to do everything they can to ruin your day. Customer service can be difficult but there are many good life lessons that come from the job. You learn that you can not let customers get to you. If the talk to you in a rude way you just have to smile through it and be kind.

In customer service you will run into different types of people. There are understanding people, people who are difficult, people who do not care about your store policies and people who will be mean for absolutely no reason. People get very upset when it comes to their money so If they feel like you are ripping them off they will be more than happy to tell you so. Usually when you are kind to a customer, the customer will be kind but sometimes it does not happen like that in every situation.

Customer service taught me to always be kind to everyone. I know that parents are the first people to teach you what it means to be kind but working in customer service gives you another aspect. I have experienced customers coming in and being angry and mad at the world and ready to unleash their anger on anyone that stepped in their path. I found that these people have deeper problems than I might think and a simple smile and asking how they are doing seems to make their day a little brighter. It makes my day when a customer comes in and before they leave they tell me that I have made their day. Not every upset customer will leave the store happy, there will be those that no matter how much you try they will still leave angry. I've had customers that have insulted me, yelled at me and told me they are never shopping here again. Being a sensitive person, their insults and yells are sometimes hard to take.

Working in customer service has helped me grow as a person. I have learned to be more patient with people as well as learn to be more flexible. Above all else I have learned selflessness. Working in customer service demands that you put your needs aside and put someone else's first.

I have worked many weekends, nights and mornings. I have given up the nights that most college students would not give up because they would want to go have a good time. Honestly, being in college full time and having a part time job has made me grow up. I have become more kind, generous and an overall better person from working in customer service and for that I am very grateful.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
