This is not a shameless plug for Big Surf Waterpark off of Y Road in Linn Creek, Missouri, open 10-6 everyday, weather permitting. This is merely a description of the beautiful things that I have learned at a beautiful waterpark with fun activities and employees who love to help families have a wave-tastic day. I repeat, this is not a shameless plug for Big Surf Waterpark (but if you're interested, follow the link).

1. Kids are either super adorable...

With their princess life jackets and their crocs, they will run their way into the wavepool and into your heart.

2. Or they are super obnoxious.

(They are usually just cute, though).

3. Ice cream is stickier than you might believe.

I hate being sticky. It is my least favorite pastime.

4. Grandparents really do love to spoil their grandchildren.

They might pretend that they don't, but you can see it in the way they smile at the kiddos.

5. And grandmas love to swim down that Lazy River.

Am I right, ladies? #LazyRiverForLife

6. Piggy banks are real.

Need proof? You should see how often people pay in quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies!

7. Walkie Talkies can be hard to use.

You have to press the button down really hard or else everyone will make fun of you.

8. Air conditioning is a #blessing.

White pavement + the bright sun + my pale complexion + 15 minutes outside = a nasty sunburn.

9. One bus load of children equals one empty rack of life jackets.

Safety is key!

10. Waterpark food is magically addictive.

But unlike drugs, this food is FDA approved.

11. I love to help make people happy, one waterslide at a time.

My job is pretty great. There aren't a lot of places that kids get to have so much fun.

This article has been approved by Big Surf Waterpark. But again, don't feel pressured to have the time of your life by going to a super awesome and wave-mazing waterpark in Linn Creek, MO. It's your decision to have fun or to miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
