Spring time before summer time.

Once we are well into the month of March, the excitement for summer begins to crowd our mind. We begin to think about warm weather, sunshine, days on the lake, and barbeque. It seems like the days are getting longer, but summer still isn't getting around quick enough.

However, getting excited for the summer season is the reason why are able to get through the rest of the school year.

The days become longer. The sun is out earlier and sets later in the day. It seems as though we have more time in the day to get things done. The sun also brings warmth. We begin to take out the shorts and t-shirts while the jeans and sweaters get packed away. Summer fragrances become the hit in the mall with tropical fruit and flowers filling the air. The hot cup of coffee in the morning soon turns into a fruit smoothie. Ice cream becomes the number one choice of a desert even if there is still some snow on the ground.

There may be snow on the ground, but it will soon transpire into something else. The snow begins to melt and manages to stay behind. Puddles are everywhere you look. Sandals are not yet needed. Instead, rain boots are the most efficient piece of footwear. Rain boots can be fun because they come in many different designs and colors. No matter what your rain boots look like, they make you want to jump into the puddles like a kid again.

Now is the time to start planning summer vacations. Everyone will be traveling, therefore it is a good idea to start planning your summer vacation sooner rather than later. There are many options for summer vacations. One doesn't need to go far either. A day at the lake on a warm day and camping for a couple of days can be just as enjoyable. Taking a road trip over the summer is the definition of summer. There are so many sights to see across the United States like Mount Rushmore or Sequoia National Park. It reminds us that sometimes adventure is in our own backyards.

This is when the real procrastination begins. Students begin to dream about summertime, relaxation and traveling, so the motivation to study begins to slip. It is hard to stay on schedule to study when the weather gets better which allows you to have more options to do different activities. This is what can get you through it: remember, that summer is almost here! Look forward to the time for relaxation that doesn't have any homework! If you can get through this time of work, then comes the time for yourself.

The season of Spring means that summer is closer, but it is not completely here yet. There are many things to look forward to but also many things to still get through.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
