What We Can Learn From Our Pets Unconditional Love

Unconditional love has many layers. When you love someone or something unconditionally, to me that means despite the flaws, the mistakes, the good days, and the bad, you never stop loving them. No matter what life hands you or what you go through, someone’s unconditional love for you forever remains. If you own or have ever owned a pet, you probably know what I am talking about when I say they will forever unconditionally love you.

From day one when you bring your pet home they form a bond with you. They watch your every move, observe your every emotion and the pieces that make up your personality. They grow to appreciate you and the care you give them which eventually turns into love. With enough patience and practice, they respect what you do and don’t want within your relationship with each other. Once the bond is formed, their heart is forever yours and they will always be by your side. They comfort you when you’re sad, express love when you need it, and keep you young by always keeping you on your toes following them on their many adventures. They honor and protect you and will never stop doing so. The warmth, kindness, and love our pets bring into our lives is irreplaceable and something we humans can learn from.

If we as people lived every day like our pets, I guarantee it would change our lives, so why don’t we start trying? When you welcome someone new into your life, take the time and patience to learn about each other. Figure out the persons personality and what makes them happy. Learn to appreciate and embrace what makes them who they are. Don’t discourage the flaws because no one is perfect. Help someone out when life gets hard and comfort people when days get bad. Show love and kindness every chance you get and live life to the fullest because no one is ever promised tomorrow. Be happy as often as you can and stay truthful and loyal to those who are always caring for you. Most importantly never stop loving and showing your love. When you constantly every day show someone how much you love them it makes your life and theirs even more fulfilling. This is how ours pets live and how we should live. They will unconditionally love you forever and eternity and they only want the best for you. So what we learn from our pets unconditional love is how to live an inspiring life full of kindness and love. Treat life and those in it with the same respect, the way our pets do. Show everyone unconditional love in the hopes they will do the same for you.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
