As we all know, we all have a sense of style. Some may have a dressier style, athletic style, relaxed style, risqué style, etc. When it comes down to the logistics, what we wear says a lot about who we are as people.
Let’s start out with someone who puts lots of effort into what they wear and always looks dressed to the nine. We can assume that this person cares deeply about their appearance and are quite professional. They do not leave the house without a tie on or a lipstick. They are very coordinated in colors and have their clothing wrinkle free. These types of people have organized written all over them. Sure, their homes and closets might not be in tip-top shape, but their appearance is what they organize the most.
Next, comes the yoga pant wearers, the Nike shorts, gym shoes, headband wearing type. We can assume that this crowd is prepared to run at any point. Whether it’s a day shopping, errand running, or just a quick bite to eat, these people feel most comfortable in athletic attire. Does it necessarily mean they are always working out? No, but dressing in comfortable athletic wear is their style. It might make them feel slim, younger, in shape, etc.
Next are our trendsetters. This group of people is the ones who are always bringing back the old or trying on the new. For example, high, wasted pants. Take us back to the 60s 70s and 80s wears high wasted was the way to go. Come the 90s and early 2000s lowriders were the new fad. These trendsetters brought back the high waisted pants/shorts, Adidas shoes, crop tops, and floor-length dresses. What does this say about this group? They love to be different and set the new trends. They get bored of the traditional look and can’t wait to try something new for the world to try out.
Now comes our, “I’ll wear whatever is in my closet and is clean.” We got to love this group of people because while we are stressing about the perfect outfit for an event, they could care less as long as they have something to put on. This does not mean these people don’t care about what they look like, but their efforts would rather go somewhere else rather than spending all this time on a certain type of look for an outfit. I bet some of us wish we had this mindset so our credit cards could take a break.
As you can see, what you wear can mean so many things beyond the whole idea of they care too much or they don’t care enough. What each person wears are unique to their body and lifestyle so why not embarrass the difference and maybe try something new. If you overdress yourself try taking an easy day and try a new trend. If you don’t dress up enough, wow your friends with a new outfit or something you haven’t worn in a while.
