Internships are crucial assets to our resumes and building our future careers. Internships are more than just occupying your summer months or even gaining experience in your study field. Internships are about making an impression on a possible future employer and networking with employees in order to better prepare yourself for getting a job after college. The last thing we all want to do is to instantly create a bad impression for ourselves by wearing something inappropriate to the office. Sure, professional attire might not be the most flattering thing in the world, but it is necessary to find workable pieces that make you feel confident on the nine to five grind.

H&M

H&M has a very diverse selection of options ranging from dress pants to full suits. You can't go wrong with this store because they have such a wide range of colors and styles at very reasonable prices. They carry everything from dresses and blouses to blazers, so you are sure to find something cute to spiff up your professional wardrobe. Price Range: ($30-$50)

Express

Express is a great spot to find dress pants specifically. They have everything from plain black to cute plaid and even fun colors. I was pleasantly surprised at how good their selection was and how many options I actually wanted to try on. Price Range (around $50)

Zara

Zara is the place to go if you are looking to rock a suit. They have every kind of suit you could imagine from fitted to boyfriend style. With everything from pastel colors to crazy patterns you can't go wrong. Price Range ($50-$150)

Topshop

Topshop is not the first place that comes to my mind when I think about professional attire, but they have a shockingly good selection of options. A variety of suits and dress pants are available for reasonable prices. However, it is their blouse selection that was what impressed me. They have a huge itinerary of fun and classy shirts that are just what you need to spice up a plain black pant suit. Price Range ($40-$100)

Ann Taylor

Ann Taylor is the place to be if you are looking for work appropriate dresses. In the summer especially, dresses can be so great because they are easy to style and don't involve a lot of work beyond throwing a cute cardigan and necklace over them. I was pleasantly surprised at all they had to offer especially because I typically associate this store with the style of middle-aged to older women. Price Range ($100-$150)

Banana Republic

Banana Republic offers a lot of good suit options as well as fun blouses. They run a little pricier than the rest of the stores, so this is a good place to come make a long-term investment in a suit that is beyond this season's latest trend and is something you can save and maybe even take with you into the professional world. This store has a great selection of classic pieces that will be in style no matter what the fashion style of the season is. Price Range ($180-$200)

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.

I've known you your entire life. More than likely I held you in the first three days of it and at least one of us cried. Cousins are truly one of the best things in the world and while sometimes I complain about how many people crowd Grandma's living room on Christmas Eve, I wouldn't trade you all anything.

You are my best friends, the only people who can understand what it's like on Thanksgiving, and you are the spunkiest people I have ever met. But you as so so young, most of you are just now starting your adventures in the public education system. I mean, I'm so very young too. I'm not married, I don't have children, heck, I just started my adult life, but I do want to give you what little advice I have. My dears, these are the things I want you to know.
