What To Watch: Thanksgiving

Well, folks! Turkey Day is just around the corner and by now your mother is probably already shopping for ingredients for that AMAZING dinner that will most likely put you in a food coma. But while you are regaining consciousness, you might want to watch a little TV along the way. Here are some Thanksgiving episodes/specials that will keep the whole family entertained and laughing come Thursday:

Country Cousins - That's So Raven

Yes, this is not an actual Thanksgiving episode, but it centers around family and putting aside grudges to accept one another. It also helps that it is hilarious! In this two-parter, Raven Simone takes on four different roles, all with the use of some great makeup! She plays herself as Raven, Auntie Faye, Cousin Delroy, and Baby G.

The One With All The Thanksgivings - FRIENDS

Let's face it. Every single Thanksgiving episode of FRIENDS is amazing! But this one is my favorite by far due to its hilarity. In this episode, everyone goes around in Monica's apartment and tells their worst Thanksgiving story. These hilarious flashbacks include Phoebe and her rendition of losing her arms in a past life to Joey getting his head stuck in a turkey! A must see.

Slapsgiving - How I Met Your Mother

Let's face it, Barnie had it coming. In this episdoe, Barnie dreads the slaps expected due to a lost bet with Marshall. Hilarity ensues due to the suspense and pure joy Marshall gets every time he slaps Barnie. And if this episode wasn't enough, it further inspired two more episodes- Slapsgiving 2: Revenge of the Slap and Slapsgiving 3: Slappointment in Slapmarra.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

And finally the classic Charlie Brown Christmas special. Just this alone is considered a family tradition across the country, and there are plenty of reasons why. Snoopy cooking his own version of Thanksgiving dinner warms our hearts, and the messages brought by the children leave us all something to be thankful for.

Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
