If you like a good mashup of supernatural, romantic, and comical shows; this one is calling your name.
Released in 2011, Teen Wolf's first episode "Wolf Moon," set the tone for the entire series. Lead, Scott McCall and his friend, just sophomores in high school at the time, hear of a missing person and decide to search the woods for the body; like normal teenagers would do (KIDDING.) On their journey, Scott is attacked and given "the bite" that he and his friend Stiles realize, after much research, turned him into a werewolf.
That's not the only thing making this a hit TV show, though. What comes with teenagers? Love, of course. Scott immediately falls for the new girl Allison Argent, without realizing her dad is a hunter; a hunter who goes after supernatural creatures, like himself. In my opinion, though, the best love story in this series is between human Stiles and banshee Lydia. They go by Stydia, and their unrequited love story warms the hearts of all hopeless romantics. Since Stiles had a crush on Lydia, (the 3rd grade), their relationship is a constant twist and turn between the people they date; which up until Season 6, have never been each other. Since season 6 is the last one, though, we are all hoping for at least a few scenes that hint toward Lydia and Stiles becoming something. Regardless of the ship you like, or what you like most about the show; I know you will soon be buying season packs of the series on Amazon.
Number of episodes: 88 (including Season 6, which iis currently airing every Tuesday night)
On Netflix? No.
Rating: 5/5 - The first season is a little slow, believe me, but it is still really cute to see the teens' crazy transformations, nonetheless. Thhis show is a must-watch.
