What to Get Your Dog for Christmas

To many, their dog is their most valued and important member of their family. However, as much as we may love our puppers, buying gifts for them can be quite difficult. Especially if your dog is like mine and does not like playing with toys! Here are a few ideas for gifts you can buy your pupper!

What to Get Your Dog for Christmas

We don't deserve dogs and they certainly deserve the world. Here are a few ideas of things you can get your dog to show your appreciation and love to them!

A new outfit

Sometimes my dog forgets how to walk when we put clothes on him, but he very much appreciates his sweaters in the winter. He's a wee little 12 pounds, so he needs all the warmth he can get when going on his walks in the snow!

Recently, I found a red UGG sweater for my dog that was super discounted and I paid about $15 for it! The dog pictured above is not my pupper, but he or she is totally rocking their groovy Hawaiian shirt!

A new toy

My dog refuses to play with toys. If you throw a ball to him or around him, he gives you a very hard glare and it almost says "I hope you plan to pick that up because I sure as heck ain't getting it."

From my experience working in an animal hospital, and working as a dogsitter for various families, I have found that it is best to stay away from soft toys that can be chewed up and eaten. These toys are very hazardous as eating the material is not good for your dog!

I prefer to buy sturdy toys like tennis balls, bones and things that will not be easily destroyed. If you are looking for a subscription box to buy for your pupper, I really like Bark Box because they specifically supply toys that are on the sturdier side to prevent any accidental snacks.

A new blanket or bed

As much as your pupper may love sharing your bed with you, it is important for them to have their own special place. Additionally, my dog loves snuggling up under a blanket, so this Christmas I'm getting him a new special fuzzy blanket just for him to snuggle under this winter to stay warm and cozy. Only the best for a King!

Special treats or a new collar

I recently bought my dog a collar that has a bow tie on it and I have to say it breaks my heart every single time he wears it because it's just so cute!

If you want to get a new collar for your pup I definitely recommend a bow tie and then if you have any weddings or family parties, your pup can look nice and fancy too!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
