Last week I had the amazing opportunity to visit one of my friends in New York City. Before this, I had only been to the city once before so I was beyond excited. Even though I was only in the city for a couple of days, we explored basically everything you can see in Manhattan. I had so much fun on my trip that I decided to make a list of everywhere I went!

1. Empire State Building

Can you really visit NYC without going to the Empire State Building? Also, if you are trying to avoid lots of crowds, go during the winter - we didn't have to wait in any lines!

2. Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum

While the wax museum can be a little pricy, my friend and I found a coupon from Groupon that let us go to the wax museum and other attractions for a really good price! This museum is so much fun because you basically get to see your favorite celebrities in person.

3. Central Park

Central Park is really pretty, and it definitely felt good to walk around a place that wasn't a busy street crowded with people.

4. Museum of Natural History

There is so much to see here, and it gives you a perfect excuse to rewatch Night at the Museum!

5. Times Square

Times Square is another spot you can't skip. Seeing all of the lights, cars and people all at once is unbelievable in person.

6. Museum of Modern Art

This museum is filled with fascinating pieces. My favorite part was the modern fashion section that included art pieces that analyzed current trends such as Patagonia sweatshirts and Nike sneakers.

7. Charging Bull on Wall Street

Did you the bull in this sculpture weighs 7,000 pounds?

8. Fashion Institute of Technology

If there are any Project Runway fans out there reading this article, you will understand why FIT and Mood Fabrics are destinations you must go to if visiting NYC!

9. Brooklyn Bridge

My friend and I got to walk onto the bridge and the views were amazing. You could see the entire city from a new angle, and you could see the Statue of Liberty from the middle of the bridge!

10. Bryant Park

The park itself is a really cool place to see, but this is also a prime location to view the Statue of Liberty from land!

11. Rockefeller Center

Did you know that you can go ice skating outside of the Rockefeller Center during the winter?

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

You know that all of these things apply to you. You'll just never tell.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
