1. Go on a desert safari

A desert safari is one of the coolest things you can do in the Middle East. Depending on your interests, you can either do a calmer tour on cool old Range Rovers, where you ride camels and have traditional food, or get a little crazier. Some of the more intense tours take you out to go dune bashing, where you drift up and down the dunes in SUVs, as well as dune boarding, where you basically just sled ride down the dunes. Whichever type of tour you pick, you'll be sure to have an awesome experience

2. Go to the top of the Burj Khalifa

This is the tallest building in the world, and is definitely one of the coolest experiences that you'll every experience. As you go up in the elevator, your ears will pop. The view from the top is incredible, and to make things even better, if you can get up and get there to see the sunrise, it will make for an even cooler experience.

3. See the different spectacular buildings in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is the most extravagant city that I have ever seen. There is not a single building that is the same design, and everything is so modern and clean. This is also where the Sheikh Zayed Mosque is, which is a must see. It is absolutely insane. They have all day long tours in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and I would definitely recommend a day tour of Abu Dhabi. There are so many interesting things that a local tour guide makes even better with their knowledge on everything.

4. Visit the Dubai Mall

Within the first 10 minutes of being inside, I was lost. I'm pretty sure this place is the size of a Disneyland park. It has an aquarium, ice skating rink, and every store and restaurant you can imagine. There was literally a Texas Roadhouse. I'm not much of a shopper, but outside the mall you can see the dancing fountains, as well as a really cool light show on the side of the Burj Khalifa.

Whatever stereotypes you hear about the middle east, don't believe them, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. I felt safer walking around here at 3:00 am than I do in any American city. Regardless of what your interests are, you'll find something to do here. It will be the coolest trip of your life.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
