This coming weekend in Wilmington, the 2016 North Carolina Azalea Festival will take over the city. There are plenty of reasons that anyone should attend this festival, one being that there are so many events that will take place that there is sure to be something that everyone will love. Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Garden Tour
Ribbon Cutting - Friday, April 8 at 10 a.m. at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater
Gardens will be open Friday immediately following the ribbon cutting until 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
This tour is not only a display of 12 of the city's most beautiful gardens, but is also the main opportunity to see the Cape Fear Garden Club's Azalea Belles in their colorful antebellum-style dresses.

Street Fair
Over 300 vendors will be featured at this year's street fair in Downtown Wilmington along the Cape Fear Riverfront. The street fair will run Friday from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m, Saturday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m, and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m
Also, you won't want to miss out on the fireworks happening on Saturday at 9 p.m!
Azalea Festival Parade
From 9:30 until 11:30 on Saturday morning, floats of all types will fill 3rd Street as thousands of spectators watch. This is one event you surely do not want to miss!
