It's that time of the year again! Summer is here, and so are the long days of show binging! Do you already have some shows that you were thinking about completely absorbing into your couch for? Or, are you stuck in a show hole, and you find yourself unable to get out? Either way, here are some shows to consider camping out on the couch for!
10.) Dexter
Do you find yourself wanting to jump into a show that is a little on the darker side? Dexter is the perfect match for you. Meet Dexter, he's a blood splatter analyst who works for the local police department. However, even though he helps to catch the bad guys, he's also one himself. Dexter enjoys spending sunny afternoons killing those who have committed crimes. A little blood never killed no one.... Well.. except all of the victims in the show. The blood loving psychopath may just be your new show addiction this summer and you may find yourself falling victim to Dexter's awkward but oh so charmingly psychotic mannerisms!
9.) Arrow
The vigilante is back and better then ever! Let your arrow fly into this thrilling TV show about Oliver Queen who was stranded on an island for years because a storm wrecked the ship he was on. On the life raft Oliver's father gives him a notebook full of the names of corrupt business leaders and overall bad-doers to get revenge on them. Now reunited with his family, Oliver spends his time during the day living in a lavish mansion, all due to his families riches. Under the cover of night, however, Oliver Queen becomes the vigilante that saves Starling City.
8.) The Flash
Try to keep up with Barry Allen, also known as The Flash. Barry Allen was mostly a normal guy until the day he was struck by lightening. Nine months later he wakes up from a coma to find out that he is now the fastest man alive. However, Barry soon finds out that he is not the only one who was struck by the lightening, and also that he's not the only one with superpowers. It's not all fun and games being a superhero, especially not when you have to juggle, relationships, secret identities, a normal day job, and a secret job that involves saving the city. (I am currently watching this now... LOVE IT!)
7.) How to Get Away with Murder
Annalise Keating is a brilliant, charismatic and seductive professor of defense law, who teaches a class called How to Get Away With Murder. Annalise, also a criminal defense attorney, selects a group of students -- the best and the brightest -- to assist with cases at her firm alongside her employees, the trustworthy and discreet Frank Delfino and Bonnie Winterbottom, an associate attorney. Mysteries arise that test everyone's limits and reveal dark truths.
6.) Teenwolf
Let your teeth sink into this captivating show about Scott McCall, an average teen who just happened to be bitten by an Alpha wolf in his home town Beacon Hills. From that day on, Scott is no longer an ordinary teenager, but a teen with extraordinary wolf abilities. However, Scott soon realizes that there is a lot more going on in Beacon Hills then he originally thought. Join Scott and his crew to fight all of the mythical creatures that intend to do a little less then good in Beacon Hills. (My favorite show! The first season is not the best, but stick with it, and I am sure you will fall in love with it too!)
5.) True Blood
If vampiers, werewolves, and shapeshifters are your thing, then you cannot go wrong with Trueblood. Small-town Louisiana waitress Sookie Stackhouse already is viewed as an oddball by her friends and neighbors, since she can read the minds of those around her. She doesn't exactly help her reputation, though, when she falls for Bill Compton, a 173-year-old vampire who has "come out of the coffin" along with many of his undead comrades now that a new synthetic blood has made it possible for vampires to survive without preying on humans. While vampiers may not be feeding on humans... they still don't have a good reputation.
4.) Hannibal
Where the Hannibal Lecter movies not enough for you? The legend gets a fresh start in this tv show about the cannibal killer also known as Hannibal. However, this show not only focuses on our favorite meat eater, but also Will Graham. Will is a man with a gift, and a very useful gift to the police at that. Will can place himself in a killers mind and re-enact murders in the style of the killer. Recently, one killer has been interesting him in particular and that is Hannibal... However, Will doesn't know that Hannibal is a killer because Hannibal.. is Will's.. Psychiatrist.
Get ready to laugh, cry, scream, etc. With 12 seasons (and counting) Grey's Anatomy is surly a show that you want to binge on. Join the doctors at Seattle Grace as they not only face battles in the ER and operating rooms, but also in their own rooms and lives. While being a doctor seems like an amazing profession, take it from these doctors that it's not all that it is all cracked up to be. However, I think the doctors at Seattle Grace will all agree that it is a rewarding profession...most of the time that is.
2.) Game of Thrones
A medieval fantasy that sparks every seductive and sexy interest while still maintaining a battle and gore love for all those who watch? YES PLEASE! Divulge into George R.R. Martin's continents of Westeros and Essos. The depiction of two powerful families -- kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and honest men -- playing a deadly game for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and to sit atop the Iron Throne. Just remember, heads will roll, because this is a war after all.
1.) Orange is The New Black
If you have been living under a rock this past couple of years, all of the buzz is surrounding this comedic show about a woman's prison. This past Friday, the shows fourth season was released on Netflix, and is currently what most are devouring. Meet the ladies of Litchfield prison, who are.. let's just say... unique. They will tell you their stories in flashbacks, and you also get to see current prison life.. which is as horrible as you have imagined.. but much more comedic then real prison could ever be.
