I love traveling. Unfortunately, traveling costs money. When I travel I always try to find really nice souvenirs, because it’s unlikely I’ll ever be able to return to the places I go. A lot of tourist traps try to convince you to buy cheap, poorly made souvenirs. Being able to buy something cheap is great, but if what you bought breaks by the time you get home it really isn’t worth it. I always look for things that I can use, instead of trinkets that I will eventually tire of. If you’re like me and don’t want to waste space and money on commemorative items, here is a list of useful, easy to find souvenirs:
- Lighters
- Coffee mugs
- Clothing
- Sunglasses
- Bags
- Books
- Shot glasses
- Lanyards
- Bottle openers
- Can koozies
- Decks of cards
- Wine stoppers
All of these items have practical uses. They are also things you can show off without seeming to. These items are readily available in most souvenir type shops. Don’t settle for cheap knick-knacks that will just collect dust.
