It's your last real meal before being stranded on a desert island, what do you eat?

What Should Your Last Meal Be?

This past week, my friends and I got into a game of desert island. If you don't know that game, it's basically when you ask yourself "if I was on a desert island, what would I bring with me?" From which movies you would bring or what books you would carry along with you, we also picked what our final meal in the real world would be. We started talking about what our last meals would be and then I began asking anyone we knew what they would have as their last meal. Here's what 100 people had to say:

2. "Chicken and waffles with hot sauce and syrup"

3. "Ravioli in mimosa sauce, with cheesy breakfast potatoes and warm dinner rolls"

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated.
