What Should You Do Your Last Semester?

Don't waste away this semester!

What Should You Do Your Last Semester?
The Huffington Post

There are a lot of things you can do during your last semester. You can apply for jobs or finally achieve your life goal of getting a 4.0 and making Deals List. My advice to you is to make lasting memories. Do not waste away your last semester staying in your room and binge watching One Tree Hill (even though I highly recommend that TV show). Make adventures on the weekend with your friends and try to treasure those moments because this time next year, we will be in an office working 9-5 every Monday-Friday. This is our last couple of months of freedom. Not to mention, when will be the next time you will see all of your friends you made in college after you graduate? You will not have that luxury of walking up a flight of stairs and being able to watch the Grammys with all of your friends. Instead of staying in on a Friday night, get with a group of friends and watch movies or having a baking day with them. If you are worried about finding a job and want to focus on applying to jobs and perfecting your résumé and cover letter, set a game plan for yourself. Throughout the week, set aside time to apply for jobs and then on the weekends, dedicate it to your friends. Make memories with them. Cherish this last semester of college and go out with a bang.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
