What It's Really Like To Be Best Friends With Twins

I remember meeting you two and thinking, "Wow, these twins are going to be my puzzle pieces that complete me." Not only did I gain one best friend, but I gained two. Two people that would take a bullet for me and two people that would have my back no matter what. Boy, was I in for a ride.

Being best friends with twins has changed my life in many ways. They have taught me self-love, patience, and self-confidence. They have been my rocks, my shoulders to cry on, and my biggest fans.

Having twins as your soul mates can be difficult at times. You get used to the fighting 24/7. When befriending twins, it becomes inevitable that you’ll be around during the fights. They will fight about whose turn it is to drive, and then once we’re in the car, they fight about what song will be played first. You get used to hearing them bicker on the phone, and you really get used to the fighting over whom the clothes belong to. You do love it when they fight over you, though!

You have to make sure you tell both of them everything. Nothing is worse than when one twin finds out the juiciest gossip from you and the other one isn’t in the loop. The phone will ring and you know what she’s going to say.

Why did you tell my sister about your new guy and not me?

You try to keep them both updated, but sometimes, you fall short. God forbid one of them knows something the other one doesn’t know about five minutes earlier. You constantly have to avoid taking sides.

“You agree with me, right?”

“She wants to spend the night at my apartment tonight.”

“She loves me more.”

“Isn’t she being so annoying?"

You tread lightly when they try to drag you to the dark side of choosing which twin you agree with. You can’t tell either of them that you agree, because then they’ll get mad. But if you don’t pick a side, they still get mad. You have two puzzle pieces that complete you.

Meredith Grey and Christina Yang told us that everyone has their “person” -- but you have two people. You have two people that would pick you in the middle of the night just to talk. You have two people that will binge-watch scary movies with you. You have two people that fill up your wine glass when it’s getting a little too low, but most of all, you have two people that love you with their whole hearts and with every fiber of their being.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
