If you google search "Fyre Festival", you'll see "Fyre Festival Disaster" pop up. Fyre Festival was supposed to be a luxury music festival with the top bloggers and social media socialites invited. It was set up on a private island in the Bahamas. What resulted, however, was anything less than a luxury. Now, the company faces at least five lawsuits.
The price point for tickets ranged from a few thousand dollars up to $250,000.00 Each price point obviously contained a different package. There were supposed to be villas, jet skis, beach yoga, and more. Gourmet meals were also promised.
When the socialites stepped foot onto the island, it was a complete disaster.
I think it may be easier to list what, in fact, Fyre Festival did not have:
- Toilets or showers.
- Air conditioning.
- Clean beds to sleep on (bed bugs and blood-stained air mattresses).
- "Inhabitable" medical conditions, which the medical staff hired had left so there ended up being no medical staff.
- Disaster tents.
- Basic human necessities.
To seal the deal, these socialites took their anger to their social media outlets where they reported the entire thing. Check out a few of their Twitter profiles to see some photos.
