What Nobody Wants You To Know About The Liberal Media
The Morning Call

"The medias the most powerful entity on Earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty, and the guilty innocent. And that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses."

I remember being a sophomore in high school sitting in History class reading this quote by the fascinating Malcolm X. Maybe back then it had no meaning to me. But now it really speaks to me, the message he tries to convey.

So what does this even mean? Or why should I care? you may ask me.

Well it means the mainstream media has a way of twisting every story and glossing over the horrific events because they don't want you to know about them. The media has a way of playing with peoples minds by making them believe one side is all "peaches and pie," while the other side is demonized as "pure evil". The mainstream media does this all the time.

The other day in English class my Professor addressed six types of biases. Surprisingly, I never learned about this in high school. Anyways, I learned that when the media makes something look even better than it actually is, this is a form of bias called "Rose Colored Glasses," this is when they don't give you the negative aspects of an event because they gloss right over it making the other side appeal to viewers. They want you to SOLELY accept their ways of thinking; therefore, they are saying "This is the way you should think and if you don't conform to this then you are WRONG."

An example, would be back in the Cold War era when the media refused to accurately portray the honest evils of the Soviet Union. It didn't matter to the liberal media how Joseph Stalin murdered millions of his own people or about the evil practices of the Soviet Union; they were not going to report about it. As a matter of fact, they rewarded a Pulitzer prize to Walter Duranty, a New York Times Journalist who was an accomplice that covered up for Stalins dirty deeds.

You might be thinking, "Well why the hell wouldn't the liberal media bring this up?"

The answer is quite simple. They don't want you to know because they want you to BUY into their leftist conformities without looking at the other side of the issue. Judge me all you want but it is the truth. So before you read into the mainstream media, look at both sides because you have to know both sides in order to have a firm ground to stand on. Once you know both sides then you can bring up your arguments.

More now than ever before, the media has a negative effect on adolescents and trains them how to think and what to believe. But before you ACCEPT what the mainstream media is saying, first you should think critically by asking a series of questions. I'll give an example of what I mean, one day in class we were asked to read this article from a Sociology textbook on Materialism; as I was reading the paragraph on "Norms" I came across one phrase that really stuck out to me:

"The practice helps us to understand why family bonds are much stronger in Iraq than the United States."

Well wait a minute. This is a subjective comment... so you have to stop and pause yourself. First of all, what would make you think that Iraq has stronger family bonds? Where is the evidence that supports this? and what makes you think that the United States doesn't have close family bonds? (They don't represent the other side...about the United states?!)

Clearly this article is bias against the United States and bias towards Iraq.

See what I just did? you have to be able to stop and think by asking critical questions and then seek out the answers, not by ACCEPTING what they say, but by knowing both the positive and negative aspects to an issue. By doing this, you are painting both sides of the picture. If you don't do this then you just have the "One Sided Picture," which is another form of bias.

The best example I can think of is during the third presidential debate when Hillary Clinton states how Donald Trump had a $916 billion dollar loss in 1995 which enabled him to get out of paying his taxes for 20 years through a corporate loophole.

Well, wait a hot second. They are both filthy rich.

What about her? Was she able to get benefits from a wealthy loophole too? But while Trump had a big loss, Clinton utilized a $700k loss in 2015 using it as an excuse to write her tax bill down and avoid paying taxes. She used the same scheme that Trump used.

But once again, the media does not report this because they comply to protect all liberals to make them look great; they want YOU to believe that Hillary Clinton didn't do anything wrong. So they do anything in their power to cover for her by not discussing her incompetencies to take action in Benghazi (while blaming a youtube video for the terrorist attack and then later acknowledging that it had "nothing to do with the film)

What difference at this point does it make to Secretary Clinton? She was in the State Department and failed to protect her people on the ground. Many elite liberals would disagree with me on this one but had Clinton done her job in the first place, then the four US Ambassadors would have still been alive today. Once again you have to look at the facts, it took 13 hours to send help to these Americans under fire.

It is fact enough that these four American soldiers families still want answers from the former Secretary of State regarding the attack. But Clinton refuses to answer questions and says "it's time to move on."

First of all why was there such a delay? and why isn't Clinton and her State Department held accountable for their actions?

Not to mention, the media also refuses to talk about her famous email scandal or about how she claims to have landed under "Sniper Fire" in Bosnia. So why isn't the mainstream media telling us about Benghazi?! Simple, because they DON'T want to ruin Clinton's reputation.

When it comes down to these things the media shakes it off pretending they didn't see anything or hear anything; therefore, since we are acting like we don't know about it, lets not report about it or dispose her secrets...

On the other hand, there are many reasons why the liberal media mainly reports on certain individuals.

I mean lets face it folks have you heard CNN report more on Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump?

Well, Donald Trump, of course.

Why do they do this? It's easy....that's because they know it's more likely to spark a reaction; people are far more likely to get angry over a candidate who says controversial things than Sanders who wants to provide "Free education."

What many people hear is "Debt-free college," or "Free College," but what exactly does this mean? Do we have the money for this?

One needs to discover the answer to these questions for themselves by seeking facts, logic and reality and not on the emotional appeal based on feelings, theory and fantasy.

I hope you understand my points in this article. I'm discussing what the mainstream media doesn't want people to know and how they are able to brainwash our society. I wrote this to convey a potent message to millennials. So before deeming the left-wing news as accurate make sure you think about how the media is portrayed and remember you have to be willing to think critically before you READ INTO what the media is feeding you! A lot of people may say they do but they actually don't do this!
