Right now, we are facing a dilemma that most internet users never imagined would happen. The FCC, also known as the Federal Communications Commission, wants to take away net neutrality. Net neutrality, in a nutshell, is the freedom to use whatever websites we want, whatever apps we want, stream whatever music we want, etc., without having to pay extra.
If these rules previously set by the FCC under Obama are repealed, we would have to pay extra for social media sites, music streaming sites, and video streaming sites.
Big cable companies such as Verizon, Comcast, AT&T, and Spectrum want to put an end to net neutrality. If we lose net neutrality, the internet will never be the same.
WE can make a difference. Tomorrow, December 14th, Congress will be voting on whether to keep net neutrality or not.
If you visit battleforthenet.com to write to Congress and call your senators, it only takes 2 minutes and 26 seconds.
