With the COVID-19 pandemic, many events have been postponed; such as sports, graduations, proms, and of course reality television. One major show that had a 2-month postponement is "Big Brother" on CBS as it usually beings at the end of June and will finish in early September. Being only a few weeks into the show, this year's season is an "All-Star" cast of players from a variety of season, but are all of them really "All-Star" material"? In my opinion no, so here are my 16 houseguests that I would've chosen as my All-Stars (in no particular order), and of course there will be some who are actually there.
1. Tyler Crispen
Tyler definitely stole a lot of people's hearts in his original season, season 20. He was arguably one of the best players on the show, making deals with just about everyone in the house and somehow managed to stay clear of drama. He ultimately came in 2nd place. He was not only charming and charismatic to everyone in the house, he was a strategic player and didn't let it become a "personal" game, except finding his current girlfriend, Angela, that same season.
2. Janelle Pierzina
Janelle is one of, if not the, best player the show of "Big Brother" has ever had. Known as a "comp beast," she earned many "Power of Veto" wins as well as "Head of Household" championships. She has already played in an "All-Star" season, as well as her own season, season 6. She is a "Big Brother" force to be reckoned with and just a very powerful player in every aspect; physically, mentally, and socially.
3. Cody Calafiore
Jersey-born Cody Calafiore is one of the most memorable players to play the game. Coming in 2 place in season 16 to his "final 2", he was part of only of few final 2 deals that actually made it to the final 2 contestants. 1/2 of the "Hitmen", he was able to please people in the house, while also staying loyal to the people in his alliances, yes he has many. He is also able to win competitions when it is important and plays strategically to move his game forward.
4. Nicole Franzel
Nicole is a household name when it comes to "Big Brother" houseguests. Mostly known for her crazy punishment costumes she wears, or in each season she fell for a different guy but ultimately got engaged to another "Big Brother" contestant, Victor Arroyo. She is known as one of the sneakiest and backstabbing "Big Brother" players, never really showing her cards, but hey that's "Big Brother" right?
5. Mike "Boogie" Malin
Anyone who has watched "Big Brother" knows who Mike Malin is. Otherwise known as "Boogie", he has played in 3 seasons in total. Starting in season 2, coming back in the first "All-Stars" in season 7, and winning, then coming back as a "mentor" in season 14. I think it would've been really cool to see how he plays with the newer stars that are mostly in this real season, since he is an older player.
6. Rachel Reilly
Oh Rachel, it was a love-hate relationship watching her play the game. She played in season 12 and then came back to play the very next season, and it was definitely an interesting dynamic, to say the least. While she was a very good player, she was most known for her, we can call it "outgoing and loud" personality throughout both seasons. She was extremely prone to getting into verbal fights and arguments with just about everyone in the house and would tell you how it was. It would be very interesting to see how the other houseguests would react to her.
7. Derrick Levasseur
Being the victorious half of the "Hitmen" with Cody back in season 16, Derrick is an iconic "Big Brother" player. He played a very sneaky game, but not in the bad way, he kept his cards hidden and didn't play with his emotions, just thought of it as a game. Being an uncover police officer, he was able to hide his true emotions and intentions within his multiple alliances, but obviously most loyal to Cody. Seeing him and Cody back together would've been really interesting to see if they stuck together again, or if not to seem like smaller threats.
8. Jordan Lloyd
Jordan was definitely a fan favorite throughout her season 11 run of "Big Brother". She never seemed super treating to most people and was very kind-hearted to everyone in the season, so no one really tried to go after her. Falling for other "Big Brother" star, Jeff Schroeder she definitely gained a bigger target on her back throughout the end of the season. Ending up on the block 4 times, she was able to beat it 3 times, showing she can stay and campaign for herself when she needed to, but could also be a subtle pawn that no one would be willing to send home.
9. Devin Shepherd
Ohhhhh Devin, we loved to hate you right from the beginning. During season 16, he became most famous for looking like Dwayne Johnson, but also for being in quite a large alliance known as the "Bomb Squad". And a bomb it was, they fell apart pretty quickly after Devin exposed his crazy behavior and "loose cannon" of a personality. It would be interesting to see how he reacted with other "All-Stars" in this season.
10. Da'Vonne Rogers
Definitely one of my personal favorite players, Da'Vonne is one of the best players to watch throughout the show. While she has never won a competition, she has managed to be a memorable player throughout the years, playing in her now 3 season this year. She is a very social player and manages to stay in the house for long runs because she can get along with just about anyone. Though, she is also a very vocal player and will tell you what is on her mind, she also plays for herself and does not let someone else make decisions for her.
11. Paul Abrahamian
Paul is one of those perfect examples of people who you loved in their first season, but maybe not so much the second time around. Starting in season 18 and going to the final two with Nicole Franzel, and ultimately losing to her, he became a popular favorite for America. Winning many competitions throughout the season and having a great season, it seemed right to have him back again the next year; wrong decision. "Friendship" was his motto, but it was anything but that as he became a major threat, especially with power couple Cody and Jessica.
12. GinaMarie Zimmerman
Oh GinaMaire, I feel like she was such an interesting and dynamic player that she can get lost in the lists of the contestants of "Big Brother". A lot of people forget, while she only won 1 HOH (Head of Household) and 1 PoV (Power of Veto), she had a very strong personality and social game. This helped her go to the final 2 but inevitably losing, like most of the "best players" to play the game.
13. Cody Nickson
It amazes me that Cody was even on the show because he hated it so much, except for finding his second wife Jessica of course. With a military background, serving in the United States Marine Corps, he posed a very big physical threat to just about everyone in the house. He also had a season long feud with Paul Abrahamian, which made it difficult to get with the good side of the house many times. It was also hard because he didn't care about what people thought of him and he never smiled, literally ever. Though, it would be interesting to see his dynamic in the house for another season.
14. Danielle Reyes
Next to Janelle, Danielle is right at the top of one of the best players to play "Big Brother", especially one of the best females. Winning multiple HOH and PoV competitions, she was seen as a physical and social threat to everyone in the house. Though she had a final 2 deal, she was able to end as runner up, but again most of the great players do not win the entire game. With her competitive spirit and attitude, she was a mental threat as well because she never put herself in the mindset that she was going to lose.
15. Ian Terry
Ian!!! Everyone loves Ian, he was the typical "nerdy" contestant that you couldn't help but to love right from the beginning. He is so smart that he was one of the best at mental competitions, especially the memorization ones, but not the best at physical competitions. One of the only "All-Stars" to actually win the game, he is a major threat to many people in the house who have not won this year.
16. Vanessa Rousso
Someone who definitely wasn't expected to be as powerful of a player as she was is Vanessa Rousso. Being a poker player, she was able to use her mental abilities to her advantage throughout season 17, and she also held her own for the physical competitions. Coming in final 3, she was able to have a hand in just about every eviction that took place, but she was also infamous for crying, literally all the time.
With my own 16 houseguests in place, I think they would do nothing less of play a strong season of "Big Brother: All-Star Season". All of these players have left strong impressions on the game and the people that watch the show and would give nothing less of excitement. With that said, the 16 contestants that are actually playing right now are also giving everyone an exciting season to watch and it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
